I'm now back in the UK, fresh from my holiday in Spain, and the massive adventure I had getting out of Beirut in Lebanon.
Thank you to all of you for your lovely emails and text messages. I'm sorry that I couldn't reply to all of them as my internet time was limited and the calls were expensive. I had a £600 phone bill from T-Mobile for all the incoming calls I received!!!
The journey home was a big adventure and something I'll never forget. The Brits may have taken their time getting us out, but when they did, they did it well. I blagged my way on to the HMS Gloucester which took me to Cyprus where I stayed in a refugee camp on a Military base. From there I was flown to Gatwick, then got another flight to Spain to meet my Parents and my boyfriend. It was an emotional reunion.
