Hold tight for a fast ride in 2012!

I’ve been waiting patiently for this year to come around as it’s been quite a journey getting here. Foundations have been laid and now it’s time to put everything in to action.

The year started off nicely at a beautiful new bar in South Kensington called The Collection. The were a little cool at getting warmed up, but Rebecca Lee finally got them there and by midnight when the balloons were dropped from the ceiling and the burlesque dancers kept everyone on the dancefloor. By the time I came on the decks at 1am, everyone was in full swing and didn’t get off the dancefloor until close.

The central London streets were just re-opening at 4.30am after a spectacular firework display and street parties. So I made my way to BIG at 2AD for a little party myself. Ford was on the decks and the place was just getting started. It was great to see other working DJs there partying themselves and some lovely friends shaking a leg too.

There is so much to look forward to this year already. Even though January is quiet for club bookings, February is busy with a visit to Brazil. I will be in Rio from 8th-13th February and Iguassu from 13-16th, then finally 16th-23rd in Salvador Bahia for the Carnival. This is going to be a dream come true for me as I’ve always wanted to visit Brazil. I’ll keep you updated with my where abouts and what clubs and parties I will be DJing at.

The rest of the year is set to be a fun one with more visits to Malaga and the Vocal Booth weekender in Mercia.
